Update from Delhi ICA, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Pollution is continuously increasing in the country’s capital Delhi and the overall air quality index (AQI) has been recorded above 300. Due to increasing pollution, especially elderly people are having trouble breathing. People also feel a burning sensation in their eyes due to this. Tomorrow is Diwali and as always there is a possibility of further increase in pollution due to bursting of firecrackers etc.

Anand Vihar: AQI recorded 351

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s AQI is in the very poor category. Officials said an AQI 351 was registered this morning in East Delhi’s Anand Vihar area. It was 302 in Narela, 292-292 in Burari and Rohini and the AQI was 275 in Dwarka.

Meteorologists have said that there is one day left in October and this time it has not rained even once in Delhi this month. He says that the weather conditions are not favourable, so this time people may have to face strong winds even on Diwali day.

Mundka: AQI highest on Tuesday 325

CPCB officials said that yesterday, i.e. Tuesday, more than 300 ICAs were registered in eight areas of the national capital. In 25 places it was beyond 200. Among the places where the air quality index exceeded 300, Mundka recorded the highest AQI of 325.
