Prayagraj police have taken major action against the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. A case has been registered against 15 people under the command of gangsters. This also includes the names of terrorist Guddu Muslim along with Ali and Umar, both sons of mafia Atiq Ahmed. Police have declared Ali as the leader of Atiq’s gang. Now the police will also seize properties acquired through crimes against the accused under Article 14/1 of the Gangster Law.
It is known that Umesh Pal and his two gunners were publicly killed on February 24, 2023 in Dhumanganj area of Prayagraj. The entire incident was captured on CCTV in which the faces of the killers were clearly visible. After this incident, police action continues against the accused.
Let us tell you that the Umesh Pal murder case was carried out by Atiq mafia’s son Asad and gunmen Ghulam, Armaan, Sabir, Usman and Guddu Muslim. However, behind the scenes there were many more people involved. A few days after the incident, the UP STF killed Atiq’s sons Asad and Ghulam in an encounter. The police then killed Usman and Atiq’s driver Arbaaz in an encounter at two different places in Prayagraj. However, Guddu Muslim, Armaan and Sabir are still at large.
Who were all accused of gangsterism?
Mafia Atiq had planned a lot to get Umesh Pal out of the way. In addition to the henchmen, including Atiq’s sons, the servants of the house also played an important role in this. Police arrested Atiq’s son Omar lodged in Lucknow jail, Atiq’s younger son Ali lodged in Naini Central Jail, Atiq’s brother-in-law Ekhlaq, servant Cash Ahmed, Rakesh alias Nakesh Lala , to Shahruk Ahmed, besides Atiq’s lawyer Sault Hanif, lodged in In Naini jail, besides Vijay Mishra, Sadaqat Khan and Niaz Ahmed, a gangster case has been registered against the perpetrators of the crime, Guddu Muslim, Armaan Akhtar and Mohammad Sabir.
Atiq’s two sons are in jail
Currently, Atiq Ahmed’s son Ali Ahmed, leader of a mafia gang, is lodged in Naini Central Jail. Atiq’s elder son Umar is detained in Lucknow jail. Whereas Guddu Muslim involved in Umesh Pal murder case is absconding. Armaan and Sabir have also fled. The remaining defendants are in prison.
In the entire matter, Prayagraj DCP Abhishek Bharti said that apart from the shooters involved in the incident, Atiq’s lawyers and close servants were also involved in this incident in every way. That’s why gangsterism has been imposed on everyone. After the investigation of this case, action will also be taken against all the accused under 14/1 in which the properties of these people acquired through crime will be confiscated.
How many people have been taken against so far?
The Atiq gang had made headlines across the country by committing the Umesh Pal murder case, but the measures taken by the Yogi government against these mafias and their henchmen have also become an example. Now more than 70 henchmen of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf have been sent to prison. In addition, properties worth approximately Rs 2,000 crore of Atiq-Ashraf and his close relatives have been seized.
The Yogi government has completely defeated Atiq’s IS 227 gang. Now, in the new gang chart, instead of Mafia Atiq, his son Ali’s name has been registered as the leader of the gang. Also before, this son of Atiq followed in his father’s footsteps and intimidated people. In a way, Atiq has handed over the legacy of his crime to his children.
