A large quantity of adulterated material has been recovered from Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Dabra and Ujjain districts and is supplied to different parts of the country.

Fake mawa was kept in 23 pieces
9kg of suspected mawa was seized from a cargo truck in front of the capital Bhopal railway station. This mawa was kept in about 23 packages in a cargo car. According to information, this mawa was sent to Agra from Morena. From where, according to sources, it supplied all the businesses in Bhopal.
The action began after taking samples.
The government food department took four samples and kept the mawa in cold storage. The value of the seized mawa is said to be more than Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, Bhanwarpura police station in Gwalior lost the suspect before Diwali. A raid has been carried out at a ghee factory. A large quantity of suspected khoya and ghee was seized from the spot. The Food Department has started new actions taking samples.
Fake mawa was made with chemicals and refined.
The police had received information that adulterated khoya and ghee were being made in indigenous ovens in Sikrawari village. The police team from Bhanwarpura police station, while conducting a raid in the village, recovered a large quantity of adulterated mawa being made in ovens. This mawa was made using chemicals and refined.
There was preparation to make a thousand fake mawa.
The police detained some people while preparing mawa and recovered about 150 kg of allegedly adulterated mawa. Along with this, bad refineries and chemicals have also been recovered from here. From the material found at the site, it was estimated that the adulterants were preparing to manufacture about 1,000 kg of fake mawa.
Fake food items were sent to Indore, Bhopal and UP
After receiving information from the police, the Food Safety Department team also reached the spot. Samples were taken for testing. Information has been received that fake mawa were being manufactured in these villages located in the forests of Bhanwarpura and sent to Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur cities of Madhya Pradesh and also to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

There were preparations to make and ship around 10,000 kg of fake mawa from here till Diwali. But after police action, their plans were ruined. In such a situation, on the request of the Food Department, the police are taking legal action over this entire matter.
