Prime Minister Narendra Modi will tour Gujarat on October 30 and 31. During this time he will also visit Ekta Nagar where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects. This tour will not only give a new impetus to the development of Ekta Nagar but also has a special significance on the occasion of National Unity Day.

first day schedule

The Prime Minister will reach Kevadia, Ekta Nagar, on October 30 at 5 pm, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs 280 crore. These projects include a sub-district hospital, roundabouts, a smart bus stop, a CESL car charging port, a 4 MW capacity solar project and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on wheels.

At 6 pm, the Prime Minister will address the 99th Koman Foundation Course – Aarambh 2024, which is an important program to inspire the youth and make them contribute to nation building. Later at 7.15 pm, the Prime Minister will attend the Narmada Depotsav and participate in the Narmada Aarti. Narmada Ghat will be decorated with lamps, making the occasion even grander.

second day program

On October 31, the Prime Minister will participate in special programs on the occasion of National Unity Day. At 7:15 am he will pay floral tributes and pay tribute to Sardar Patel. After this, he will join the unity parade at the parade ground at 7:30 and address the nation. The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi at 10 am.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate several important projects in Ekta Nagar, including sub-district hospital, roundabouts, smart bus stand and CESL car charging port. The sub-district hospital was built at a cost of Rs 22 crore and has facilities like Trauma Centre, Gynecological OT, Minor OT, OT Ward, CT Scan, ICU, Delivery Ward, Special Ward, Physiotherapy Ward, Cabin surgeon, medical warehouse and 1 Ambulance will be available.

Apart from this, 10 smart bus stops and 10 pick-up stands have been constructed at Ekta Nagar for the convenience of tourists, which will be inaugurated. Roundabouts have also been created to systematically manage traffic and enhance the beauty of the city. Push-button pedestrian crossings and car charging points will also be installed for pedestrian safety.

sustainability and tourism

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a sewage treatment plant to be built at a cost of Rs 75 million that will remove sewage generated from around 4,000 houses and other hotel businesses. Apart from this, the foundation stone of the fire staff residence and Sardar Sarovar Dam experience center will also be laid. Six galleries will be built at the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center that will showcase the functioning of the dam and its effects.

Beautiful sculptures will be placed at 24 places in Ekta Nagar and a 4 MW solar project will also be inaugurated. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a Bonsai Garden that promotes sustainable development, which will promote the conservation of biodiversity and integrate horticulture, aesthetics and cultural heritage.

Development of Satpura protection wall and jetty

Taking into account the impact of floods in 2023, the protection wall near the Cactus Garden will be expanded, so that in addition to flood protection, tourists can count on river banks, food stalls and walkways. At the same time, with the development of the pier, transportation possibilities will also increase. Not only this, due to floods, the area meant for the development of Hospitality District in Garudeshwar was submerged, in view of this, it was decided to raise the level of the land at a cost of more than 60 million rupees to save this land from future floods.
