The charges of extortion and kidnapping leveled against Atiq Ahmed’s sons, Mohd Umar and Ali Ahmad, will be presented at the next court hearing on November 5.

The Prayagraj district court has filed charges against mafia son Atiq Ahmed, Mohammad Umar and Ali Ahmed, and two other accused in the case of demanding extortion of Rs 5 million from a builder and kidnapping for ransom. At the hearing Tuesday, both sons went online from jail and called the case against them a political conspiracy.

Mohammad Omar and Ali Ahmed’s lawyer argued that this case has been registered against their family due to political rivalries and a proper investigation will reveal the truth. While framing the charges, the court fixed November 5 for the next hearing and ordered the presentation of witnesses.

Let us tell you that builder Mohammad Muslim, a resident of Prayagraj, had filed a case of kidnapping and torture for demanding extortion at Khuldabad Police Station in October 2021. District Government Advocate Gulab Agrahari said that Mohammad Umar, imprisoned in Lucknow jail, Ali Ahmed, imprisoned in Naini central jail, as well as Asad Kalia and Nusrat, who were out on bail, were present in the hearing. Nusrat was present in the courtroom while Ali and Umar along with Asad Kalia were online from inside the jail.
