State Industry Minister took the GM meeting
Punjab News (Aaj Samaj), Chandigarh: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund held a review meeting with General Managers (GMs) of all Udyog Bhawan districts. During this, Saund motivated all CEOs to maintain an industry-friendly environment in the state and attract more investors. The progress of the industrial sector and the facilities and benefits provided to the industries were discussed in detail in the meeting.
Industrialists’ requests must be resolved quickly.
During the meeting, the Industry Minister directed all CEOs to promptly make available applications related to approvals and incentives on the Invest Punjab portal of the industrialists of the state in coordination with the concerned departments. He said that by talking to industrialists, their problems should be resolved within a given time frame. Saund said that it is our duty to provide a hassle-free environment to the industrialists for the prosperity of the state and to fulfill this objective, all General Managers must maintain better and cordial relations with the industrialists of their respective areas. He said it must be ensured that the benefits of government schemes and subsidies are given to small industries and entrepreneurs.
Government plans must be published
The Industry Minister directed that the government’s self-employment schemes be publicized as much as possible in the ITI and polytechnic institutions so that boys and girls can take full advantage of the benefits. This will also increase employment opportunities in the state. He said online and social media should also be increasingly used for loans and other subsidies given to industries under various schemes so that more and more industrialists can avail their benefits.
