7 crore hawala seized from car in Sirohi
There was a mountain of money on the table, wads of bills on the cot, and agents counting the money in the machine. It took four hours to count the wad of Rs 500 to Rs 500 notes, after which it was revealed that this mountain of cash contained an amount of Rs 7 crore 1 lakh 99 thousand being sent from Delhi to Ahmedabad via Hawala . But the police detained him in Sirohi district of Rajasthan.
There was a secret box under the seat.
To send it to Gujarat through Hawala, a special type of box was made under the seat of this car and a huge amount of money was sent to Gujarat by hiding it in the box under the seat. But before making the delivery in Ahmedabad, the Rajasthan Police stopped and searched this car in which a secret box was revealed under the seat. Then, one after another, so many bundles of 500 rupees came out that a machine had to be called to count them.
What did the police say?
Giving information about the incident, RIICO police station house officer Sitaram said that on instructions from SP Anil Beniwal, a lockdown was imposed at Maval post located on the Rajasthan-Gujarat border on Thursday. Meanwhile, the police stopped a car. As they began searching the car, police realized something was suspicious. During the search, police noticed that under the seat, near the driver’s seat, was a safe. When the police opened the safe and saw, their eyes were wide open. The police noticed that the safe located under the seat of the car was filled with wads of notes between Rs 500 and Rs 500.
2 young people arrested
The police detained two youths along with cash of Rs 7 million recovered from the car, and they are being questioned about this money. The police are busy collecting information about the nexus involved in the hawala business operating from Delhi and its handlers are busy delivering cash to all corners of the country.
