There was a commotion in the AC coach of the Udaipur Intercity Express when suddenly smoke started coming out of the coach. Seeing the smoke coming out, the passengers got out of the car and stayed outside. When railroad officials and employees learned about the smoke, they extinguished it with fire extinguishers. The passengers were moved by adding another car and the train was dispatched. After this reduction, the train left with a delay of approximately one and a half hours.
According to information, as soon as the train stopped at Mauranipur station, passengers started running away from the coach and railway staff tried to stop the smoke coming out of the coach. Railway staff said smoke was coming out due to a spark in the electrical panel. When the train reached Jhansi, the passengers were shifted to another bogie and then the train was sent.

After receiving the information, the station staff controlled the smoke with the help of firefighting equipment. The Mauranipur train remained stopped for about 40 minutes.
