Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe

In fact, the Zimbabwe cricket team is going to make history this year. The Zimbabwe cricket team will play the Boxing Day Test and the New Year’s Test at the end of the year. According to Zimbabwe Cricket, Zimbabwe will host the Boxing Day Test and New Year’s Test for the first time in 28 years. Both test matches will be played in Bulawayo. The Zimbabwe team will face Afghanistan in this series. In fact, the Afghanistan team will tour Zimbabwe later this year where, apart from the Test series, ODI and T20I series will also be played.

He will play the New Year’s test for the first time.

Zimbabwe and Afghanistan will meet for the first time in three T20I matches at the Harare Sports Club on December 9, 11 and 12. After this, they will face each other in 3 ODI International matches scheduled on December 15, 17 and 19 at the same venue. After this, the test series will begin in Bulawayo. The first match of the Test series will be played from December 26 to 30 and the second from January 2 to 6.

To date, Zimbabwe has hosted only one Boxing Day test. In 1996, Zimbabwe faced England in a rain-affected draw at the Harare Sports Club. However, away from home, they played the Boxing Day Test against New Zealand in Wellington in 2000 and against South Africa in Port Elizabeth in 2017. They faced Sri Lanka in a Test match played in Colombo on December 27, 2001. Let us tell you that Zimbabwe has not contested the New Year’s test to date, either at home or abroad.
