Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s commitment towards Ayodhya has brought Ramnagari back into the list of world records.

The representatives of the Guinness Book of Records witnessed this “Great Depotsav” of the Uttar Pradesh government and finally granted the world record status for lighting such a large number of lamps simultaneously at a single place. Under the leadership of the Yogi government, teachers of Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University and its affiliated colleges, teachers and students of inter-universities, voluntary organizations, saints, local public representatives, local administration, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, etc. , also played an important role. in the creation of the record. As soon as the scheduled time for lighting the lamps began, 25 lakh 12 thousand 585 lamps were lit one by one with the slogan of ‘Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram’. The records were achieved by lighting 1.71 lakh lamps in Ayodhya in 2017, 3.01 lakh in 2018, 4.04 lakh in 2019, 6.06 lakh in 2020, 9.41 lakh in 2021, 15.76 lakh in 2022, 22.23 lakh in 2023. This time more than 25.12 lakh lamps were lit. The prosperity of the state and the country increased with the increase of lamps every year under Yogi’s rule.
