Ayodhya. The Food Department team is continuously carrying out a campaign on Diwali. On Saturday, the department's police team collected 13 food samples in the district and sent them to the laboratory for analysis. In which 898 food items worth Rs 62,300 were seized. 270 kg of food items worth Rs 54,900 were destroyed.
Food safety monitoring teams led by Director Food Safety collected samples of cheese, buffalo milk and refined soybean oil from Hotel Ramayana and samples of cheese and refined soybean oil from Hotel Panchsheel. One sample of paneer and two samples of sweets were taken from Param Foods located in Sohawal. Deputy Food Commissioner Manikchand Singh said after receiving the inquiry report, action will be taken as per rules.
