According to Kamala Nagar police, former MLA Savita Diwan had lodged a report at the police station that when she went to visit Manali with her family, around 13.5 lakh of the 15 lakh she kept in a briefcase was stolen from her bungalow. . Only Rs 1.5 lakh is left in the briefcase.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 305 BNS and started investigating the matter and found that there was no vandalism in the house nor was any broken window or door found. They only stole the money he kept in his briefcase.
The complainant said that she had hired a maid named Tanu Sharma some time ago. After this, when the police interrogated Tanu, she first misled the police, but after being strictly interrogated, she confessed to the crime.
Tanu also told that her sister and her boyfriend were also involved in planning this robbery. At the same time, Tanu had also included her mother in the stolen money. Tanu said her younger sister Palak Sharma had also accompanied her to steal. Both of them were slowly stealing money from the briefcase kept in Savita Dewan’s house for the last month and a half. We also gave our share of the theft to our mother Sona Sharma and our boyfriend Nikhil Patel, a resident of Rewa.
After this confession, the police arrested the four accused by adding section 137 (2), 306 BNS in the case and so far Rs 06 lakh 30 thousand in cash and Rs 01 lakh 70 thousand purchased with money have been recovered from them stolen. Household items have been confiscated.
According to the police, Tanu Sharma is married but also has a boyfriend who lives in Rewa. Tanu had transferred the stolen money to him online. Tanu and her sister Palak Sharma also handed over the stolen money to their mother. That is why he has also been arrested. Tanu Sharma and Palak Sharma had also bought washing machine, double bed, mattress, wardrobe and Karva Chauth for the house with the stolen money.
