The seat should not be left for Congress…SP candidate filed nomination in Phulpur – as per polls reaction of akhilesh yadav phulpur seat for Congress SP candidate filed nomination lclr

Talks are underway between Akhilesh Yadav and top Congress leaders for an alliance in the by-elections to be held in nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav is said to be willing to give up Congress seats to Khair and Ghaziabad in Aligarh, but the Congress party is not happy with it. The Congress also demands the Prayagraj seat in Phulpur for itself, but the SP had given ticket to Murtaza Siddiqui from here. When Akhilesh hinted that he would leave the Phulpur seat for the Congress, even before that, the SP candidate went and filed his nomination in a hurry.

Speculation about giving Phulpur a Congress seat had barely begun when Samajwadi Party candidate Murtaza Siddiqui went and filed his nomination. When Samajwadi Party’s Phulpur observer Inderjit Saroj was asked about this, he said our candidate had filed his nomination.

We do not know the alliance: Indrajit

Samajwadi Party national general secretary and former cabinet minister Inderjit Saroj said our candidate filed his nomination in the Phulpur by-election. I have no information about Congress being given a seat. When told there were reports about this, he said it could be that the discussions in the media are made up.

By-elections held for 9 UP seats

There are 10 vacant assembly seats in UP. By-elections will be held here for a total of 9 seats. These include Karhal of Mainpuri, Sisamau of Kanpur, Phulpur of Prayagraj, Katehri of Ambedkar Nagar, Majhwan of Mirzapur, Milkypur of Ayodhya, Ghaziabad Sadar, Khair of Aligarh, Mirapur of Muzaffarnagar and Kundarki headquarters of Moradabad. However, the date for the Milkipur seat is yet to be announced. The Congress is almost certain to get three seats. Voting for the by-election will take place on November 13. The results of all these seats will be announced on November 23.
