Third day of Pak vs Eng test, first day (Aaj Samaj), Sports Desk: England’s innings faltered on the first day of the third and decisive Test match between Pakistan and England played in Rawalpindi. Despite winning the toss and deciding to bat first, England’s batsmen could not perform well and kept coming out one after another. Until tea time on the first day, the England team is struggling after losing eight wickets in 245 runs.
For England, batsman Jamie Smith scored 91 runs and opener Ben Duquette scored a 51-run half-century. Apart from these two, no England batsman could cope with Pakistan’s spin attack and the team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. For Pakistan, Sajid Khan took four wickets, while Noam Ali took three wickets.

This series of three Test matches is tied at one apiece. The first test match played in Multan was won by the English team by a huge margin. While in the second test match, Pakistan team bounced back and recorded an easy victory over England. In the second Test match, England’s strong batting order seemed helpless against Pakistan’s bowlers.
