This afternoon there will be no water in more than 30 areas of Delhi and tomorrow morning – see the full list – thousands of people will be affected.

New Delhi: There will be no water supply in many areas of the national capital Delhi this afternoon and Thursday morning. According to information provided by Delhi Jal Board (DJB), maintenance work will be carried out at the water treatment plant located in Sonia Vihar. Due to this, people in some parts of Delhi will have to face major disruptions in water supply for two days starting Wednesday. The 12-hour water cut in parts of south Delhi will come into effect from 10 am on Wednesday.

The Delhi Jal Board said maintenance work at the water treatment plant will begin at 10 am on October 23. Due to this, water will not be supplied on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Jal Board has suggested people to store water and spend it only as per their needs.

There will be no water supply in these areas of Delhi

According to the Water Board, Kailash Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jal Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand Hospital, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Deoli, Ambedkar Nagar, Okhla, Kalkaji, Kalkaji Extension, Govindpuri, GB Pant Polytechnic, Shyam Nagar Colony, Okhla Sabzi Mandi, Amar Colony, Dakshin Puri, Panchsheel Park, Shahpur Jat, Kotla Mubarakpur, Sarita Vihar, Siddharth Nagar, Apollo, GK There will be no water supply in South, Chhatarpur, NDMC and surrounding areas till Thursday morning. Water can be supplied on Thursday afternoon.

Apart from this, water supply may also be disrupted in Idrapuri, Maya Puri, Toda Pur Village, Dasghara, C-Block JJR, Narayana Village, Narayana Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden and Ramesh Nagar of Delhi.
