Universities in this state to adopt government schools, know what the benefits will be – Himachal Pradesh universities will adopt government schools, know what the benefits will be

Public and Sanskrit colleges in Himachal Pradesh have been asked to adopt public schools under the state government’s new initiative. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen the resources available to public schools so that they can benefit from the basics and expertise of their nearby universities.

Under this scheme, Himachal Pradesh Director of Higher Education Amarjit Sharma has asked all government and Sanskrit colleges to adopt five to six government schools in their vicinity. It aims to provide support to these schools in terms of human resources, infrastructure and other facilities, thereby improving access to education for the students of these schools.

94 schools in the state will help

According to the government, there are 89 public degree colleges and five public Sanskrit colleges in the state. Director of Education Amarjeet Sharma said that not only universities should participate in this initiative, but teachers (both associate and assistant) should also be encouraged to adopt it independently of schools if they wish to do so.

Career awareness and guidance program

The administration and staff of the university are expected to contribute in various ways such as attending career counseling sessions, sharing knowledge and creating awareness about the functioning of anti-drug squads and women’s cells. Schools will benefit from this demonstration, which aims to help students understand the importance of discipline and life skills.

He also informed that the university staff will guide the students to contribute to the building of the society and nation as well as educate them on national surveys such as the National Achievement Survey (NAS) and Pariksha, which evaluate the performance of students in schools. Many universities have already taken steps to implement this initiative, indicating strong support for the government’s effort to foster stronger relationships between schools and higher education institutions.
