After this, the police dispersed the crowd by lathi-charging the protesters. At the same time, security has been tightened in Uttarkashi today regarding Friday prayers.
Hindu organizations organized a public protest demonstration
In Devbhoomi Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, the police heavily attacked the protest by Hindu organisations. On Thursday, Hindu organizations organized a march demanding the removal of the mosque. Protesters became enraged during the demonstration of public anger.

7-8 police officers injured
While controlling the crowd, a heated confrontation ensued between police and protesters. It is alleged that the protesters, intending to break the barricades, threw stones at the police. In this case, between 7 and 8 police officers were injured. Following this, the police resorted to lathi to disperse the crowd.
Protesters demand the removal of the mosque

Security tightened during Friday prayers
Today the protesting Hindu organizations have also demanded the administration to ban Friday prayers in the mosque. In view of the tense situation, additional police forces have been deployed across Uttarkashi city as a precautionary measure. The administration claims that the situation is now normal after Thursday’s protest. In addition to maintaining law and order, the administration has appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumors.
