Kolkata: News of a fire broke out on Wednesday in Bada Bazaar area in Kolkata, capital of West Bengal. According to reports, around 7:00 p.m. a large fire broke out in a large timber warehouse located in the market. Once information about the incident was received, firefighters sent 12 fire crews to the scene and began extinguishing the fire. Officials said wooden equipment was kept in the building located at Ravindra Sarani. So far there is no news of fatalities due to the fire.
Problems increased due to low visibility
An official said: “We are working to control the fire.” It appears that the fire may have started due to an electrical short circuit. He said thick black smoke had enveloped the area, reducing visibility and complicating efforts to extinguish the fire. Let us tell you that a massive fire broke out at Sealdah ESI Hospital in Kolkata last Friday. A fire department official said 10 fire vehicles were sent to the scene and the fire was brought under control after two hours of effort.
The minister’s statement came about the death of the patient.
West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Bose reached the hospital after receiving information about the fire. The minister reported in this regard that the fire occurred in the hospital around 5:30 on Friday. At the same time, when questioned about the claims of a patient’s family regarding the death of a patient, the minister said that it has not been known whether he died from asphyxiation due to fire or from natural causes.
