The code of conduct is continuously violated in Maharashtra. Millions of dollars have been confiscated in many places before the elections. The latest case is that of Hingoli. 1 crore 40 lakh 35 thousand rupees were seized from Hingoli. The Local Crime Branch of Hingoli District Police took this action. Money was seized from two vehicles near Hingoli bus station. The money was brought in yellow bags in both vehicles.

The money was brought from the Kalamnuri area. The investigation revealed that this amount was withdrawn from a private bank. The money and the vehicle have been confiscated. The investigation continues into who owns the money, who brought it, where and what it was going to be used for.

Goods worth Rs 52 crore seized in last 24 hours

This is not the first case of money confiscation under the code of conduct. Officials said law enforcement agencies have seized assets worth Rs 52 million in the last 24 hours. Since the election dates were announced, agencies have seized assets worth Rs 90.74 crore across Maharashtra. So far, more than 1,100 complaints of violation of the code of conduct have been registered through the CVigil application.

Of them, 99 percent have been liquidated. The Electoral Commission has launched the CVigil app to help citizens report violations of the code of conduct. Voting for 288 seats in the Maharashtra assembly will be held on November 20 in a single phase. The results will be announced on November 23.
