Ayodhya. Preparations for the festival of lights are in their final stages. Avadh University has started finalizing preparations. With the help of 30 thousand volunteers, a target has been set to light more than 25 lakh lamps and decorate 28 lakh lamps at 55 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi. Volunteers will be seen wearing white t-shirts and caps with the Depotsav logo. The university administration will start distributing I-cards to campuses, affiliated universities, inter-universities and volunteers from Thursday.
Depotsav nodal officer of the University, Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra said that to make the Ayodhya Deepotsav historic, more than a dozen observers have been deployed at 55 ghats of Saryu. Apart from this, 55 ghat coordinators and in-charges have been appointed. A world record will be created by lighting lamps at all these ghats under the supervision of officials of residential complexes, affiliated universities, inter-universities and voluntary organisations. Dr Vijayendu Chaturvedi, media officer of the university, said the final training meeting for Depotsav will be held on October 25 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium.
In which all the deans of the university, heads of departments, directors, coordinators, district school inspectors, all the directors participating in the Depotsav, affiliated schools, all the coordinators, ghat managers and volunteers will participate.
