Mumbai: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said Mahayuti (the ruling NDA alliance in Maharashtra) should give up some seats to his Republican Party of India (A) in the assembly elections. He said we have asked for 5 seats but the great Mahayuti leaders are not willing to give us even a single seat. Our group is in every town. Our party is in the city and in every street. We have a little party. Therefore, the BJP and Devendra Fadnavis should give some seats to their party. Out of five seats, we should get at least 3 or 4 seats.
Athawale told what his demands are
Explaining his demand in Mahayuti, Ramdas Athawale said we should share power in Maharashtra. At least one MLC position is also required. Our party also wants ministerial positions in the federal state. He should become the chairman of our party on the board of directors. Our demand is that the RPI obtains a part of the power.
There will be a meeting with Mahayuti leaders soon.
Athawale said we will meet our Mahayuti leaders in a day or two. There will be discussion about seating arrangements. In this meeting it will also be decided how many seats they are going to give us. What will we get if we come to power? There will also be some demands from the Dalit community and our party. We should also receive a promise to fulfill our demands. We will also make agreements at the meeting.
