Loya revealed that despite having three internships, a good GPA, and active extracurricular activities, he remained unemployed for five months. He lost his lease, his health insurance and said he “constantly felt like the clock was ticking on my visa status, knowing I could be forced to leave the United States at any moment.” Due to this condition, he had to move to a friend’s apartment and sleep on an air mattress.
He gave this suggestion to the fighters.
Loya shared advice for young professionals looking for jobs who should consider applying for jobs as their 9 to 5 job. He said it’s important to take advantage of evenings and weekends to relax and do things you enjoy. “I understand how emotionally draining this process can be,” she said. He listed some resources that helped him get a job. He recommends Hunter.io for cold emailing, LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and Jobright.ai for job searching, and ChatGPT+ for preparing resumes and cover letters. Finally, he said, “Keep showing up, be positive, and believe that things will work out!”
People were very appreciative of it on social media.
