Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar chaired the review meeting of the District Development Monitoring and Coordination Committee (Disha) at the meeting room of the District Secretariat on Thursday. In the meeting, he reviewed the implementation of various schemes sponsored by the Central Government and directed the officials to expedite development works and achieve all targets on time.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Prime Minister himself reviews the schemes sponsored by the Central Government and the officials, understanding the seriousness of the matter, must complete all the objectives within the stipulated time frame. He said that in today’s Disha review meeting, 25 agendas were discussed in detail and the district’s performance in development works is good in most of the agendas.
The Pradhan Mantri Rural and Urban Housing Scheme was also reviewed in the District Development Monitoring and Coordination Committee (DISHA) meeting. The Deputy Commissioner ordered the officials to promptly pay the outstanding dues to the beneficiaries of the benefit. He ordered to make more effective the programs being implemented for solid and liquid waste management in urban and rural areas under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
He said special promotion should be given to skill development among youth. He said that to promote the Amrit Sarovar Scheme, all concerned officials kept inspecting the places where pond cleaning work was being carried out from time to time.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Rural Roads Programme, Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation Programme, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rural Skills Programme, National Rural Drinking Water Programme, Pradhan Mantri Agricultural Irrigation, Digital India Land Records Programme, Deen Dayal. Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, review of other schemes including Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Govardhan Yojana, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, MP Lad, Swachh Bharat Mission, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, PM Mineral Kalyan Yojana . , Sports India, Mid-Day Meal Scheme, Digital India and gave directions to further improve its implementation.
