Now it has been decided how many and which players will be bid in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Many players from all over the world had registered for the mega auction to be held in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, but as always, more than Half of the players did not even have the opportunity to attend the auction. The Board of Control for Cricket in India released the final list of players for the mega auction on Friday, November 15. Only 574 players have earned a place on this final list. Thus, exactly 1,000 players were disappointed even before the auction.

This time, 1,574 players from all over the world had registered for the mega auction. The BCCI had set a deadline of November 4 for this, and it got an overwhelming response. However, like every time, this time also after the response received from the BCCI from the franchises, the board prepared a shortlist of players, in which 574 players got a place. Now the bidding for these 574 players will take place on November 24 and 25. Once the retention list for all 10 franchises is released, there will be a total of spots available for just 204 players.
