Anti-vehicle theft in-charge Sukhwinder Singh said his team had received secret information that two youths would go from Yamunanagar via Kalanaur towards Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh to sell the stolen bike. Based on the information, the team immediately blocked the Kalanaur border and launched an investigation. After a while, two young men were seen arriving on a motorcycle.
Due to suspicion, the accused youths were detained and investigated. During the investigation, the young accused could not show any documents of the bicycle. After thorough interrogation, the accused said that they had stolen this bike from JP Yamunanagar Hospital on September 23, 2023. During interrogation, they were identified as Nitin and Aadesh Patil, residents of Chhapur village in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
After thorough interrogation, another 10 stolen bikes were recovered from the accused. The accused have stolen all the bikes from the Yamunanagar area police station in the last three months. The team also arrested the buyer of the stolen bike. He was identified as Amarjeet, a resident of Amkhedi village, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The accused used to steal the bike and sell it to Amarjeet. The accused were produced before the court. From where he was sent to judicial custody.
