The train is one of the main means of traveling in India. Indian Railways is gradually dedicating itself to making the trains super fast and developed, meanwhile the Railways has taken a step further. Western Railway will start 13 AC local train services on the Mumbai suburban stretch from November 27, 2024. After this, the total number of AC services will increase from 96 to 109.
The popularity of AC local trains is increasing among passengers and in view of this growing demand, Western Railways has decided to increase the number of AC local trains on the Mumbai suburban stretch from Wednesday, November 27. After the introduction of 13 new AC services, the number of AC trains will increase from 96 to 109 from Monday to Friday and from 52 to 65 from Saturday to Sunday.
When will the train run?
Vineet Abhishek, Director Public Relations, Western Railway, issued a press release with this information. According to the press release, there has been a significant increase in the number of passengers traveling on AC commuter trains. Therefore, for the benefit of passengers and to accommodate rush, 13 more AC trains are being introduced on Western Railway replacing the existing non-AC 12 coach services.
These train services will run as AC services on all days of the week. There will be no change in the total number of rail services due to the operation of these AC trains; with the addition of 109 AC local train services, the number of local services will remain at 1406. The first of these new AC local trains which will start running from 27 November will depart Churchgate at 12:34 and then the operation The regular schedule of all new AC local trains will be as per the schedule given below.
What route will you run?
Vineet further said that of the additional 13 AC trains being introduced, 6 services are in upward direction and 7 services are in downward direction. In the upward direction, 2-2 train services will run between Virar-Churchgate and Bhayandar-Churchgate. One AC train each will run between Virar-Bandra and Bhayandar-Andheri.
Similarly, in the downward direction, two services will run between Churchgate – Virar, one AC train each between Churchgate – Bhayandar, Andheri – Virar, Bandra – Bhayandar, Mahalaxmi – Borivali and Borivali – Bhayandar.
