There was a stir in Patna, the capital of Bihar, when two girls living in a shelter home died. It is said that the girls died after eating khichdi prepared in Asara’s house. Other girls who were injured after eating khichdi are receiving treatment following the incident, a departmental inquiry has been ordered.
According to information, there is a shelter home in Patel Nagar in the capital Patna. There was commotion after the death of two girls who lived in this foster home. It is believed that the cause of the girls’ death was the food cooked in Asara’s house. The girls had consumed khichdi prepared on Asara Griha. Of the two girls who died, one died on November 7, while the other died on November 10. Seven more girls are undergoing treatment at PMCH.
Health worsened by eating khichdi
The girls said that after eating Khichdi, they started feeling sick and started vomiting. After this, many girls began to faint. The girls also received first aid. But the situation did not improve. According to information, there are currently 35 girls in Asra Home.
There was panic among the officials.
According to the information received, officials had not informed the department about this incident. Here, after this news became known on Wednesday, there was a stir at the departmental level. This shelter home is managed by the Social Welfare Department of the State Government. The Social Welfare Department has also appointed four counselors to take care of the girls.
After the incident, the Commission for Protection of Child Rights has come to know about this whole matter. Commission Chairman Dr Amardeep said the entire matter has come to his notice. He said this incident is sad. Action will be taken against those responsible.
