There is a huge stir in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh due to an action by the Yogi government. The Yogi government has simultaneously dismissed 24 babus (employees). The allegation against him is that Babu had got the job fraudulently 30 years ago. When an investigation was carried out, it was discovered that these people were assigned jobs between 1993 and 1995 without any government order. Since Kasganj district was in Etah district at that time, the appointment of these 24 was also in Etah. Now 11 of them were published in Kasganj Collectorate. While 15 of 24 have retired.

This is from the year 1995. When Major RK Singh, who was the DM of Etah, received a letter from the Uttar Pradesh Board of Revenue. Regarding this, instructions were given to appoint these 24 people. On the basis of the letter, DM Major RK Singh appointed everyone. After the appointment, everyone came together and began performing their duties in the Collectorate. After four years, the DM received a letter of complaint. In this complaint letter, the work order was described as false.

Complaint was filed with the Treasury Council

Regarding this, the then district magistrate inquired about the appointment letter sent by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Revenue. The response received was that the Council had not sent any letter of any kind. No order was issued regarding the appointment either. When district officials found out about this, they were stunned. Seeing such fraud, even the Board of Revenue was shocked. The Board of Revenue ordered the DM to investigate.

investigation suspended

However, the DM’s investigation was in vain. This matter was suppressed as quickly as it arose. The investigation also gradually cooled down. The 24 babus began to do their work comfortably. After 27 years, in 2019, a letter was written again regarding the appointment of these babus. This letter was written directly to the Commissioner of Aligarh. When the commissioner read the letter, he ordered an inquiry into Sukhlal Bharti, who was the DM of Etah.

Missing letter related to the appointment of the Collectorate

When DM Sukhlal Bharti searched for the files related to the quote, the file itself was found to be missing from the Collection. When these babus were asked, they too hesitated to say anything. Since research is not possible without documents, the DM had it investigated his way. The whole truth came to light in the investigation. Now, as per DM investigation report, these 24 employees have been dismissed from the service.

The special thing is that 11 of these babus were published in Kasganj Collectorate. And 15 had retired. A total of 9 Babus were currently on duty. Satyaprakash, the ADM administration of Etah district, said that a notice has been issued for recovery of all of them. For those who were receiving pension benefits, orders have been given to suspend their pensions and recover previous payments.
