Earthquake. (symbolic)
A 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Patan district of north Gujarat on Friday night. The Institute for Seismic Research (ISR) has provided this information. Officials at the state control room in Gandhinagar said people came out of their homes after feeling the earthquake, but there were no reports of loss of life or property in the area.
Gandhinagar-based ISR said the earthquake occurred at 10:15 pm and its epicenter was located 13 kilometers southwest of Patan. Reports received from the northern districts (Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha and Mehsana) stated that the tremors of the earthquake were felt for two to three seconds.

Earthquake also in some areas of Rajasthan
Apart from Gujarat, earthquakes were felt in some areas of Rajasthan and people came out of their houses in fear. Tremors were felt in Pindwara, Mandar Nimbaj area of Revdar. Because of this, people became scared and left their houses.

The tremors were felt in north Gujarat and Saurashtra. People came out of their homes in rural areas of Becharaji taluk. The earthquake was also felt in other areas of Harij, Sami and Patan. The tremors were felt in rural areas including Chandroda, Mandli, Ambala and Surpura of Bahucharaji taluk of Mehsana.
