The arrested accused have been identified as Makhan Singh, son of Dalip Singh, resident of Dhand, Mahavir, son of Ramamurthy, resident of Banawali, Rahul, son of Mahendra, resident of Bodiwali, Rajendra Singh Berwal, son of Baldev Singh, resident of New Bharat Nagar Bhiwani. The accused will be produced before the honorable court and remanded in custody.
In this regard, Fatehabad Police Station had registered a case on April 21, 2023 following the complaint of CM Flying Hisar Inspector Richpal Singh. As per the case, CM Flying received a complaint regarding this matter, after which the CM Flying team checked the records of the Fatehabad District Sports Officer and found that the sports qualification certificates of 122 players were issued by the Program Officer Youth and District Sports in the year 2019-20 of which 109 were Grade C and 13 were Grade D.
On this basis, Rahul got a job in Public Works Department, Fatehabad, Makhan Singh in Public Works Department, Gurugram and Mahavir Singh got a job in Irrigation Department, Fatehabad. The investigation found that these people never participated in these games.
The then district sports officer, Rajendra Berwal, issued them sports qualification certificates without conducting any investigation. In this case, Fatehabad police had registered a case of fraud.
