The Pentagon reviewed 757 cases reported to US authorities between May 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024. This includes 272 incidents that were not previously reported. Most incidents occurred in airspace, but 49 incidents occurred above an altitude of 62 miles, which are classified as space. None of the incidents occurred underwater. Researchers reported approximately 300 cases. Many of these cases involved balloons, birds, airplanes, drones or satellites.
