Four people were killed in a road accident in Rajasthan’s Pali district. Around 2pm on Tuesday, a speeding dump truck hit the ambulance. Two women died instantly in the accident. 4 people were seriously injured, of which 2 more died during treatment. Rohat police station house officer Niranjan Singh said a patient, Ashok, was being shifted from Ahmedabad to Jodhpur in an ambulance. His relatives were also with him.
Accident while transferring a patient from one ambulance to another
According to Singh, the cattle suddenly appeared on the road near Gajangarh and collided with the ambulance. The ambulance was damaged in the accident and another ambulance was called from Jodhpur. While the patient was being taken in another ambulance, a speeding dumper collided with the ambulance (accidentally), resulting in the death of Mohini Devi and Fagli Devi on the spot. He said two others, Hariram and Sunil, died during treatment at Jodhpur hospital. Sunil was the ambulance driver. Ashok was injured in this accident and is being treated.

The accident was so serious that after the collision, the women jumped and fell into the bushes on the side of the road, about 8 feet away. After receiving information about this incident, the police and a road ambulance reached the spot and immediately rushed the women and others to Bangar Hospital, but by then both the women had died. According to the police, family members of patient Mohini Devi Vishnoi, a resident of Guda Malani in Barmer district, Fagli Devi Vishnoi, Hariram and ambulance driver Sunil Bishnoi, died in the accident. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the hospital morgue. Police are busy searching for the driver of the absconding dumper. (with language inputs)
