In Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, a class 12 student jumped into a ditch 400 feet below Jam Gate in front of his brother-in-law and his friends. Angry because he was prevented from taking selfies with his cell phone at school, the student took this terrible step. Mom and dad explained, but the angry student arrived at the famous tourist spot Jam Gate. Brothers-in-law, friends and security personnel prevented him from jumping into the ditch, but the student did not agree and committed suicide by jumping.
This is the case in the Mandleshwar police station area, about 70 kilometers from the Khargone district headquarters. At the Jam Gate tourist spot, a Class 12 student committed suicide by jumping into a ditch from a height of about 400 feet, as the student’s family and friends, as well as security personnel, continued to watch. Somewhere it is said that the reason for this incident is resentment over not being able to take selfies at school. However, investigation into the matter is ongoing. But the obsession with mobile phones is proving fatal for innocent children.
In reality, Raj’s father Raju, a 17-year-old student of Gulavad Government Higher Secondary School, 18 km from Jam Gate, was studying in class 12 in Osari. The student was a resident of Kakarkhodri Bhakalay. Student Raj was using mobile and taking selfies in school. When the teacher saw Raj taking a selfie, he advised him not to bring his phone to school and asked him to concentrate on his studies. At this time, Raj went from school to the hostel.
Later, the teacher informed KC Sand, principal of Gulavad Higher Secondary School, about this. The principal called the student’s father and brother-in-law to the school, but even his persuasion had no effect and Raj ran away from the hostel in front of his brother-in-law. They later located him until evening and took him back to the shelter.
After this, the student reached the tourist spot Jam Gate and informed his brother-in-law through a mobile call that “bring mom and dad, I will commit suicide by jumping from Jam Gate.”
According to his brother-in-law, “I asked Raj a lot but he didn’t give me any reason.” I immediately reached the traffic jam door and explained many things to Raj. His friends and I also explained a lot. Everyone kept explaining, including the security staff at the jam gate, but he didn’t come closer and started threatening to jump if they came closer, so we got scared too. Despite asking him repeatedly, he did not give any reason and after keeping his mobile phone, he suddenly jumped into the deep ditch below.
