In Noida, cyber goons arrested a woman digitally and defrauded her of Rs 34 lakh. The goons told the woman that a parcel was being sent in her name from Mumbai to Iran and that it contained banned products. Not only this, the cyber goons had also sent fake Enforcement Directorate (ED) notices to the woman.
The thugs told the woman that a parcel was being sent from Mumbai to Iran in her name, containing five passports, two debit cards, two laptops, US$900 and 200 grams of narcotics. The victim said in her complaint that she received a call from scammers around 10:00 p.m. on August 8.

Message on WhatsApp, video call on Skype
While lodging a complaint with the police, Nidhi Paliwal, a resident of Sector-41, Noida, said that the cyber goons sent her a complaint through WhatsApp and asked her to send Rs 34 lakh. Paliwal said in his complaint that one of the accused also made a Skype video call to him, but he had turned off his video. Inspector Gautam said the accused also sent two notices to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which serious allegations were made against the victim. He said the matter is under investigation.
