Lucknow. Two people, including the truck driver, were killed and two others seriously injured when a truck fell into the Hindon river in Budhana area of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Police officer Gajendra Pal Singh said a truck carrying soil from Ludhiana lost its balance and fell into the river. Truck driver Chhote Lal and businessman Neel died in this accident. He said the owner of the truck, Javed and two other people named Ajay were seriously injured.
Singh said that after receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Two injured people were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased have been recovered and sent for autopsy. New actions have been started.
