Abhishek was not the first choice for I Want to Talk

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set to showcase a unique and never-seen-before avatar in Shoojit Sircar’s most anticipated film ‘I Want to Talk’. Ever since the actor’s first appearance in the film was released, Abhishek Bachchan’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of his next film. This film is much discussed these days. However, another issue is that Abhishek was not the makers’ first choice for this film. This shocking revelation has been made by the director of the film himself, Shoojit Sircar. He said that this film was not originally written for Abhishek Bachchan. He also revealed the name of the actor considering that the story of this film was written.

Who was the filmmakers’ first choice for the film?

Director Shoojit Sircar said that this film was written keeping late actor Irrfan Khan in mind. Shoojit Sircar also expressed his happiness over Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in the film. In a podcast with Cyrus Broacha, he opened up about the upcoming film and Abhishek Bachchan’s character in it and said, “I am very pleased with Abhishek’s performance.”

Irrfan Khan said goodbye to this world in 2020

Irrfan Khan, known for his extraordinary acting skills, sadly passed away on April 29, 2020, after battling neuroendocrine cancer. The trailer of ‘I Want to Talk’ introduces the audience to Abhishek as Arjun, who overcomes life’s difficulties with wit and humor. In a notable scene, a doctor tells Arjun about a life-changing surgery. With limited time, Arjun sets out on a journey towards salvation while trying to right his past mistakes.

Abhishek Bachchan’s transformation

Abhishek has done a tremendous transformation for his role. The first poster for the film, released in October, caused quite a stir. It showed him wearing a yellow printed robe and shorts, standing in a dimly lit room. This showed his enlarged stomach, which had surgery marks. The caption of the poster also increased fans’ curiosity, in which it was written: “There is a lot to say, but a picture is worth a thousand words.”

Did Abhishek say this about transformation?

At the music launch event, Abhishek spoke about his physical transformation for the role and confirmed that it was not achieved through prosthetics. “Never gain weight for a movie again. Believe me, at my age it becomes very difficult to lose it after a while. And that’s me. This is not something artificial.”
