A farmer was shot dead in broad daylight at Pandholi village under Bhuta police station area in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased farmer Pushpendra Gangwar is said to have been riding his bike from his village to the city, when three miscreants on bikes stopped him on the way and opened fire on him. In this attack, Pushpendra received four bullets, resulting in him dying instantly. This incident created commotion in the area and the local population is in panic.
As soon as information about the incident was received, police, SOG, field unit and forensic team reached the spot. Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya inspected the incident site and met the victim’s family and gave them assurances. The police said that this murder was committed due to the ongoing rivalry due to the Panchayat elections.

According to the information received, Pushpendra’s brother was also murdered in the same rivalry in 2021. In this case, suspicions have been raised on the historian Puranlal and his family. The SSP said that five teams have been formed to arrest the accused in this case and soon all of them will be nabbed and strict action will be taken.
