A shocking case of bride thief has come to light in Kotwali Milak area in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. Where after the wedding the bride absconded with jewelry and cash. The victim Satpal had married his disabled son to a girl from Rudrapur two months ago. The girl’s side had asked for Rs 60,000 for the marriage, after which the marriage was solemnized. It had only been a month and a half or two since this marriage.

However, just two days after the wedding, the bride escaped with Rs 60,000, jewelery and a mobile phone kept in the house. Victim Satpal says she searched for him for several days but could not find any trace of him. After this, they fraudulently called the girl’s family and handed them over to the police.

Bride absconds with cash and jewelry a few days after getting married

Satpal said that just two days after the wedding the bride ran away with jewellery, cash and a mobile phone. Previously we had also filed a complaint with the police and now we have once again asked for justice. We fear that if she had stayed in the house, our property or our lives would have been in danger.

The police registered a case on the complaint of both parties and launched an investigation.

In this case, Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra said that there is no word or case like bride thief under police investigation. This is a matter of dispute between the two parties regarding the marriage. An investigation is underway based on the request and action will be taken as per rules. Currently, the police have launched an investigation after taking statements from both parties.

When asked if the girlfriend is in police custody or has she been released? On this, the Superintendent of Police said that no one like that was detained or would be detained because there was a request and both parties had come to investigate it. This is a matter of mutual differences, further action will be taken based on the investigation.
