Honoring the last wish of former NASA scientist and famous researcher Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi, his family has donated their ancestral house to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. This house is located in the Budhana Gate area and is spread over approximately 400 square meters. The value of this property is said to be in crores of rupees.
Dr Ramesh Chand Tyagi died due to illness four years ago at the age of 87. Before his death, he had expressed to his niece Shikha Tyagi his desire to use his property for educational purposes. Shikha said: ‘My uncle had the option of giving the property to his children or selling it, but he decided to donate it. His dream was for this property to be used in the field of education. Keeping this wish in mind, the family has donated this property to the university.

This century-old house of Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi has historical importance in Meerut. This blue house has two floors. There is a small door in the house. His family decided to give it to the university so that it could be used in the field of education and research.
Officials of Chaudhary Charan Singh University appreciated this donation and said that this building will be used for educational purposes of the university. However, it has not yet been decided what specific work will be done on this property. It is said that a library can be built here in which history can be described. This contribution by Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi shows his deep interest in the field of education and his feeling of giving back to the society. His move is expected to give a new dimension to higher education in the area.
