If Pakistan refuses, the Champions Trophy can be held in South Africa
PTI reports that unless the PCB decides to withdraw from hosting the Champions Trophy, the current plan is to host India’s matches in the UAE and the final in Dubai. In fact, the BCCI has told the ICC that the hybrid model is only acceptable to them if the final is held in Dubai and not Pakistan. The ICC has informed Pakistan about this. If Pakistan does not accept the ICC’s proposal regarding the Champions Trophy and the PCB decides to withdraw from hosting the tournament, then the ICC could consider moving the entire tournament to South Africa. Earlier, a PCB source had said the hybrid model had not yet been discussed and they would seek more clarity from the ICC.
Nazmul Hasan Shanto out of Test series against West Indies
Nazmul Hasan was injured while playing during the second ODI against Afghanistan. After this he left the field. Mehdi Hasan then took over the captaincy responsibility from him.
