There has been opposition from candidates regarding Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission PCS and RO/ARO preliminary exam. Even today this commotion continued sporadically throughout the day. Recently, the students went on a rampage and broke the barricades, following which the police chased them away with lathi charges. The protest continues and the students are not willing to back down. In such a situation, let’s understand what the problem is…
Why did the fuss start?
UP Public Service Commission recently announced the new dates of PCS and RO-ARO preliminary exams, this is where all this chaos has arisen. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission issued a statement on November 5, announcing the new dates for the PCS and RO-ARO preliminary exams. It was also reported that due to shortage of examination centres, as per norms, examinations will be conducted in more than one day and in two shifts.
Apart from this, a formula prepared with the opinion of experts was also provided for evaluation in the exam. In which it was said that for percentile score, the number of candidates who were issued admit cards in the shift will be multiplied by the number of marks the candidate will get, then divided by the number of candidates appearing in the turn (number of admit cards issued to candidates). Continue (not everyone takes the exam) and then we will multiply by 100. This entire process will be done through computer programs.
great reason evaluation formula
The students began to protest against these decisions of the Commission, which is still ongoing. Candidates take the exam in different shifts, the main reason for which is the evaluation formula. According to him, using this formula, the more candidates there are in a shift, the more marks the candidate will get. In the shift in which there are fewer candidates, the marks obtained by the candidates will be reduced.
the performance has already taken place
Previously, thousands of students had also protested on the streets on October 21, challenging the commission relating to the preliminary examinations of the PCS and RO-ARO, with the same demand. During that time, young people had also protested, demanding “no normalization” and “one day, one turn.”
