Winter session of Parliament, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned today after opposition stir over the Adani and Manipur violence case. Let us tell you that today was the second day of the winter session of Parliament and as soon as the deliberations of both houses began at 11 am today, the opposition parties started making noise.
In view of the situation, the procedure was initially postponed until 12 noon. Later, when the process resumed at 12 noon, the opposition once again created an uproar. After this, the procedure was again suspended for the day without any major work. Due to the uproar, it was suspended again without any important business.
We inform you that the winter session of Parliament began on November 25 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his traditional speech at the Parliament complex, appealed to all parliamentarians to hold constructive debates on important issues.
On Tuesday, Parliament held a special event in the Central Hall of the Constituent Assembly to kick off the year-long celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly. President Draupadi Murmu delivered a speech at the programme.
