In Mahisagar, Gujarat, a woman received triple talaq from her husband through WhatsApp, after which the woman wanders from door to door to get justice. The victim woman was living with her husband Javed Mustaq Kothari for the last nine years, but since she did not have children, she had to face physical and mental torture from her husband and other family members.

Following this incident, the woman has filed a complaint at the Lunawada Women’s Police Station, accusing her husband and family of harassment and demanding justice. Following the complaint, the police arrested the accused husband, but he was immediately released on bail.

Woman asked for death

Hurt by this, the woman victim wrote a letter to the President, Home Department, Chief Minister and SP of Mahisagar district demanding justice and if justice is not received, she has sought permission for euthanasia.

The woman says that her father’s financial situation is weak, so for a long time she could not raise her voice against this injustice, but now she is making every effort to ensure justice is done.

Regarding this matter, Mahisagar SP MP Kamlesh Vasava said that the police are investigating the process of immediately granting bail to the accused. The SP MP said that in triple talaq cases, bail can only be granted by the magistrate, and that too after hearing the situation of the victim. If any irregularity is found in this process, strict action will be taken against the concerned police officers.

Police contacted the woman.

The police are now trying to contact the victim and convince her to feel that her voice is heard and she will get justice. In this case, the woman’s demand for euthanasia has also caught the attention of ordinary people.
