A report by ServiceNow has estimated a huge increase in the number of jobs in India by 2028. The report says that in the next five years millions of new jobs will be created thanks to technology and artificial intelligence (AI). .
According to the report, the number of people employed in India will increase to approximately 45.72 crore people by 2028, while in 2023, 42.37 million people were working. That means around 3.38 million new jobs will be added over the next 5 years.
Most jobs in the technology sector
The main reason for this is the rapid growth of the Indian economy and the increasing use of technology. As per the report, a maximum of 27.3 lakh new jobs will be created in the technology sector. After this, around 15 lakh new jobs will be created in the manufacturing sector, 84 lakh in education and 80 lakh new jobs in healthcare services.
It is clear from these figures that the demand for employment in India will increase significantly due to technological development and economic growth. But to achieve this, candidates will need to upskill accordingly.
