Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar
The Batenge to Katenge slogan has created a rift in the Maharashtra NDA mid-election. Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis have clashed over this slogan. Recently, Ajit Pawar had said that the “Batenge to Katenge” slogan is not for Maharashtra, where Fadnavis has launched a scathing attack on him.
In an interview, Devendra Fadnavis has said that for decades, Ajit Pawar has lived with secular and anti-Hindu ideologies. He has lived with people for whom opposing Hindutva is secularism.
Ajit doesn’t understand the meaning of the statement.
Fadnavis further said that Ajit will take some time to understand the public mood. These people could not understand the public sentiment or could not understand the meaning of this statement.
According to Fadnavis, it is possible that Ajit Pawar wanted to say something else while speaking, but he said something else.

Opposing Batenge slogan to Katenge, Ajit Pawar had said that this is not Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Ajit said that on one hand you talk about sabka saath and sabka vikas and on the other hand you talk that if we share then we will be divided… how will this work?
Junior Pawar further said that the political mood of Maharashtra is not like that of UP. People here are very intelligent, that’s why these slogans have no meaning.
BJP leaders have also expressed their opposition.
Apart from Ajit Pawar, senior BJP leaders Pankaja Munde and Ashok Chavan have also expressed their opposition to the ‘Batenge to Katnge’ slogan. Both leaders have publicly stated that this slogan is incorrect.
Pankaja Munde is currently a member of the Legislative Council and Ashok Chavan is a member of Rajya Sabha. This controversy started in the Maharashtra NDA when there were 5 days left for voting.
Voting will be held in 288 Maharashtra assembly seats on November 20.
