Delhi : 4 people were killed in the Shahi Masjid poll-related violent incident and 20 policemen were injured in the violence. The police have also arrested 25 people. After the violence, police force of 30 police stations were deployed in Sambhal Kotwali area to control the situation.
On the stone-pelting incident in Sambhal, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, who had come to attend the Parliament session in Delhi, said, “Our MP Zia ur Rehman was not even in Sambhal and despite this, An FIR was registered against him.
The SP chief further said that this is a riot organized by the government… Immediately after the court passed the order, the police and the administration contacted Jama Masjid for the survey… On November 23, the Police administration said that the survey would be carried out again on the 24th next day. Who gave this order to the police administration?… When people wanted to know the reason for the survey, the Circle Officer misbehaved with them… Protesting against this, people started pelting stones. In return, everyone from police officers to agents opened fire with their government and personal weapons, video footage of which is there. Many people were injured due to this. 5 innocent people died.
Akhilesh said that along with the police and administration, the people who filed the petition are also responsible for ruining the atmosphere of Sambhal. He should be suspended and a murder case should be filed against him so that people can get justice and in future no one can commit such illegal incidents against the Constitution…”
