This person told Akshay, ‘You had built that toilet, it is rotten.’ Give me a new one, I’ve been keeping it for the last 3-4 years.
Responding to this complaint, Akshay said, “Let’s work on it, I will talk to BMC.” But as the complaint progressed, this person told Akshay, ‘Give me a new box. It’s made of iron, so it rots and you have to spend money on it over and over again. After hearing the entire complaint, Akshay said that when he installed this toilet, the responsibility of its maintenance was the responsibility of the Mumbai municipal agency, BMC. Had taken. Akshay further said, “Let’s say, let’s talk.” BMC was going to take care of it.
When did Akshay build the bathroom?
After his film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ in 2017, Akshay continuously worked against open defecation. In August 2017, Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna tweeted sharing a photo of a man defecating in the open on Juhu beach.
Eight months after Twinkle’s tweet, Akshay Kumar had built these public toilets at Juhu Beach on his own. Akshay did this work in collaboration with Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray. Reports say that Akshay had contributed Rs 10 lakh for the construction of toilets.
