Imran Khan’s close aide and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has once again pulled the trick of fleeing the protest. This time Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was also with him. This incident not only angered protesters but also fueled discussions on social media.
Demonstration and the ‘third escape incident’ from Gandapur
Thousands of supporters demonstrated in Islamabad demanding the release of Imran Khan. But when the government began the crackdown at midnight, Gandapur and Bushra fled the Bibi Blue area. The protesters tried to stop him, but he did not stop.

Some protesters began to express their discontent by sitting on the road, while others angrily shouted: “We should not let Ali Amin go.” In the morning, Gandapur and Bushra Bibi were seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra, where the PTI has a strong base.

This is not the first time Gandapur has abandoned protesters like this. Even in October he disappeared from the ongoing protests in Islamabad. After 48 hours he was seen in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Also in September he disappeared during a rally.
‘Last call’ for Imran Khan’s release fails
The PTI’s ongoing protest demanding the release of Imran Khan ultimately failed. Violence broke out during the demonstration. There were tear gas, rubber bullets and more than 500 arrests. During this period 6 people also died.

When the situation worsened, Gandapur and Bushra Bibi fled the protest site. As soon as they fled, the protesters lost morale and little by little the demonstration ended.
