After which, NHRC Chairman Kamal Uddin Ahmed and five persons submitted their resignation letters to the President. Apart from this, full-time members of the commission Salim Raja, Kongjari Chaudhary, Vishwajit Chanda and Tania also submitted their resignation letters.
Commission Spokesperson Yusha Rehman, who has confirmed the resignation of these people, when asked to explain the reason, Yusha said that she did not know the reason for the resignation.
According to Bangladeshi media, after Sheikh Hasina stepped down as Prime Minister, large-scale changes have taken place in many departments of the country. Many people have also been reorganized from here to there. Hasina resigned from her position on August 5 and left the country. After which there was an earthquake in Bangladesh politics and violence and riots started happening there.
Members of the Hindu minority community are becoming the biggest victims of violence in Bangladesh. India has also expressed concern in this regard and has appealed to the Bangladesh government to take strict measures to ensure the safety of Hindus. After Hasina’s resignation, communal tension increased in the country, since then more than two thousand cases of attacks against the minority Hindu community have come to light.
Before the resignation of these members, the CNDH report had arrived, in which it was mentioned that crimes are continually committed in the country. According to the report, there has been an increase in all types of crimes in October. Just two days after the arrival of this report, all committee members left their positions.
