Just before the Maharashtra elections, Rahul Gandhi had tried to explain to the voters what is the real meaning of ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’. He wanted to make the relationship between Modi and Adani an electoral issue. But exit poll trends show that voters in Maharashtra and Jharkhand missed his point. But the way Rahul Gandhi was aggressive on Thursday was unprecedented. During a press conference on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister is involved with Gautam Adani in corruption. He demanded the arrest of the industrialist after he was accused of bribery in the United States. Rahul Gandhi said that despite being named in the Rs 2,000-crore Adani scam and many other cases, he roams freely because he is protected by Prime Minister Modi. The question arises: why don’t common people understand the way Rahul Gandhi attacks? Let us see what are the reasons why the public is not able to accept Rahul Gandhi’s Adani Raag.
1-Adani’s investment in the states of the Congress government
In fact, on one hand, Rahul Gandhi alleges a nexus between Adani and Narendra Modi, on the other hand, people from his own party praise Adani. Rahul says Adani has taken over the Modi government. But when common people see that the Congress Chief Minister himself welcomes Adani and is eager to get him to invest in his state, then the public does not like this contradiction. Ashok Gehlot when he was Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhupesh Baghel when he was Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and the Congress governments of Karnataka have invested billions of rupees in Adani. Not only has the newly formed Telangana government planned to invest several billion rupees, but Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government has also accepted a donation of Rs 100 crore from Adani.
2- There is not a single BJP member in the states where bribery is accused.
Adani is accused of conspiring with an American company Azure Power to shut down power distribution companies in Odisha (ruled by BJD), Tamil Nadu (ruled by DMK), Chhattisgarh (Congress) and Andhra Pradesh (ruled by YSRCP) between July 2021 and February 2022. BJP leader Amit Malviya takes aim at the Congress, writing that “all the states mentioned here were at that time ruled by the opposition Congress or its allies.” Therefore, Congress should stop preaching and should come forward with information about bribes received by Congress and its allies. 3-The opposition parties do not have the same interest as Rahul Gandhi in Adani.
Rahul Gandhi is all alone in attacking industrialist Gautam Adani. There are only a handful of people left in Congress who support him. The opposition does not even adopt the name Adani. In fact, it often happens that Rahul has to face resentment from opposition leaders for adopting the name Adani. If you remember, in the early days of the Indian Alliance before the Lok Sabha elections, in a meeting, Rahul had raised the issue of Adani during the PC without the approval of the opposition leaders. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had raised objections to this matter. In protest of this, he did not even participate in the next meeting. In fact, Rahul Gandhi has not yet been able to present any concrete case against Adani. So far, whenever a case has been filed against Adani, it is the people of the country who have suffered losses. Prior to this, George Soros’s Hindenburg organization had been doing this work. Soros has been openly admitting that his job has been to bring down markets in other countries. He has done this work many times in the United States and Great Britain. Because of Hindenburg, millions of Indian investors have suffered losses on several occasions. Sharad Pawar, chief of the Nationalist Congress Party, an ally of the Congress, had rejected the demand for setting up a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Adani case in connection with the American organization Hindenburg report. Perhaps this is because the Congress Party has not been able to take advantage of Rahul Gandhi’s opposition to Adani till date.
4-Rahul cannot describe the relationship between Adani and Modi as it supposedly was between the Gandhi family and Quattrocchi.
The Bofors scam played the most important role in ending the politics of Rahul Gandhi’s father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Quattrocchi’s name was also among those who obtained the commission in this business. Around 1974, an Italian named Molinari introduced Quattrocchi to Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. But just as the relationship between Quattrocchi and the Gandhi family was exposed by the Congress and the opposition to the outside world, so was the relationship between Modi and Gandhi. Adani went public. This is the reason why Adani could not become a villain in front of the audience till date.
5- Rahul Gandhi had to face defeat in the Rafale issue, and he has also blamed other industrialists.
Rahul Gandhi has not been targeting Kelal Adani alone. Even before this he was already dedicating himself to cursing some selected industrialists in the country. At the time of the Rafale plane deal, he went after Anil Ambani and even said that Prime Minister Modi had put the money of the general public in Anil Ambani’s pocket with his own hands. Similarly, during the farmers’ movement, Mukesh Ambani’s name was taken along with Gautam Adani to draft three new farm laws. Rahul used to allege that through these farm laws, the Modi government plans to snatch away the land of farmers and give it to Adani and Ambani. However, he had to face defeat in the Rafale aircraft business. Not only this, he also had to apologize to avoid contempt of the Supreme Court in the Rafale case.
And every time Rahul Gandhi accuses the BJP and PM Modi regarding Adani, the BJP turns around and says, look who is talking. Who is out on bail in a corruption case. Just by saying this, the entire Rahul Gandhi narrative collapses. Because people remember the National Herald property grab case very well.
